FACT
The FOSTERING ACTION FOR COMMUNITY THRIVING SOMALIA- FACTSOM is a non-governmental organization, a women-led organization, committed to promoting protection and resilience-building efforts in Somalia. FACT aims to address the complex challenges faced by vulnerable communities in the country, with a focus on protecting their rights, safety, and well-being. By engaging with local communities, implementing partners, and relevant stakeholders, FACT works towards creating an environment where individuals and communities can thrive in safety and security.

The primary mission of the FACTSOM is to prioritize the protection of vulnerable individuals and communities, enhancing their resilience and enabling them to overcome various challenges. FACT aims to ensure the safety, dignity, and well-being of all Somalis, particularly those affected by conflict, displacement, marginalization, and other forms of abuse and exploitation.

Protecting Vulnerable Populations
FACT focuses on providing targeted protection services to vulnerable populations, such as women, children, refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and marginalized groups. The organization promotes their safety, security, and access to justice while combating discrimination, violence, and abuse.

Prevention and Response to Violence
FACT works towards preventing and responding to different forms of violence, including gender-based violence (GBV), sexual exploitation and abuse, child rights violations, and human trafficking. The organization conducts awareness campaigns, builds local capacities, establishes safe spaces, and provides psycho-social support to survivors.
Capacity Building and Empowerment
ACT believes in empowering individuals and communities to become agents of change. Through various capacity-building initiatives, the organization equips local actors, civil society groups, and community leaders with the knowledge, skills, and resources required to protect and promote the rights of vulnerable populations effectively.
Advocacy and Policy Influence
